ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection of Alameda Avenue and North Carolina Dr in the lower valley last night around 7:50 p.m.—the victim was airlifted in critical condition while police investigate the collision. KFOX14
- ➤ One person was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Friday evening (7:50 p.m.) near the intersection (Alameda and Carolina) in Lower Valley and was airlifted to a nearby hospital. KVIA
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to find 17-year-old Maryln Rosalinda Itzol Nimajuan who was last seen on August 31 at about 12:55 p.m. wearing a white shirt with a Mexican skull design, blue jeans, black shoes and a backpack—officials urge anyone with information to call immediately. - ➤ UTEP professor Max Grossman (known for advocating historic preservation in the Duranguito neighborhood) was arrested for assault causing bodily injury in an alleged domestic violence case and posted a $2,500 surety bond while his attorney claimed the charge was unfounded and linked to a child custody dispute. - ➤ Judge Laura Enriquez was sworn in as a federal magistrate judge for the Western District of Texas on Sept. 5th at the Albert Armendariz Sr. Federal Courthouse in Downtown El Paso—her family and colleagues attended the investiture ceremony as she took the oath. El Paso Times

- ➤ UTEP released detailed guidelines for fans attending Sun Bowl games this season that explain allowed items, tailgating procedures, parking rules, and ticket options plus what must be left at home.
