- ➤ Former UTEP quarterbacks Malachi Nelson and Skyler Locklear committed to new schools ahead of the 2026 season — Nelson to Syracuse Orange and Locklear to Missouri State. Their moves leave UTEP with fewer experienced quarterbacks this season. KFOX14
