- ➤ Over 1,500 players competed at the annual Downtown Barstool Open at 27 mini golf holes hosted by local restaurants, bars, and hotels downtown last night. Organizers said the event added a third course allowing teams to explore more of the area. KVIA

- ➤ Actor Shia LaBeouf was seen outside El Paso's Finest, a souvenir & fine arts shop near San Jacinto Plaza, on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 6:38 p.m. MT as he browsed merchandise and took photos with local fans. El Paso Times
- ➤ El Paso artist Amanda Ekery earned a Grammy nomination for Best Album Notes by writing a 60-page book for her album Árábe that explores her Syrian and Mexican roots. She will appear live today at the Grammy's Premiere Ceremony (1:30 p.m. MT). El Paso Times
- ➤ On Saturday morning, Northeast El Paso held a parade and fundraising bazaar in honor of local artist Krystall Poppin after the city declared Jan. 27 'Krystall Poppin Day,' recognizing her influence on music and community pride. KFOX14
- ➤ Dozens visited the El Paso Holocaust Museum to experience the immersive 'Dimensions in Testimony' exhibit, where state-of-the-art technology and interactive video interviews spotlighted Holocaust survivor Dr. Edith Eger’s testimony. - ➤ High school students competed in a two-day regional mock trial competition hosted by the District Attorney’s Office, with 12 teams arguing a civil case on age discrimination; the top two teams will advance to represent the region at the Texas state competition this spring. KVIA
- ➤ Middle schooler Nicholas Navarro attended the 15th Annual Medventure for Your Future at Texas Tech Health El Paso, where interactive workshops (brain dissection and bone repair) inspired his resolve to pursue medicine after his grandfather's cancer death a year ago. KVIA
