- ➤ The El Paso Museum of Art will reopen on Saturday, Feb. 14 with a Frida Kahlo exhibit (241 photos) and art activities from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while comedian Mario Aguilar brings his Diezmadre show to the Plaza Theatre tonight at 8 p.m. El Paso Times

- ➤ BorderPlex Alliance CEO Jon Barela said an airport closure has hurt business views in the Borderland region & sparked investor worries. His group had recently steered high-wage job growth with companies like Meta expanding locally. KVIA
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Texas State Board of Education said the TEA’s Bluebonnet curriculum requires over 4,200 corrections, with the number reflecting repeated counts in various parts of the materials. Schools will continue using the current curriculum until the board reviews the updates at its April meeting in El Paso. KFOX14
- ➤ Ricardo Estrada Middle School in Horizon City is now El Paso County’s first Heart Safe School after all staff finished CPR training — part of Clint ISD’s plan to boost readiness for cardiac emergencies. The district will expand the program to other campuses within two years. KFOX14
- ➤ UTEP enrolled 24,901 students this spring, a record 4.4% rise from last year, with credit hours growing 5.2%. Undergraduate, master’s and transfer programs added students while the College of Nursing & Health Sciences saw increases of 12.6% and 9.6% respectively. KFOX14
