- ➤ Yesterday, Tierra Del Sol Elementary welcomed guest principal Isabella Martinez from ABC-7 when she led the Pledge of Allegiance and toured classrooms, giving staff and students a closer look at school leadership as Principal Triplett explained the importance of daily routines. KVIA
- ➤ Mesita Elementary students showcased innovation at a multilingual Gifted & Talented expo on Wednesday, where families saw STEM projects, cultural dances and science presentations that highlight the district’s unique trilingual program with learning in English, Spanish & Mandarin. KFOX14

- ➤ UTEP and UACJ are hosting Water Week from March 23-28 to raise awareness about safe water through online and in-person activities at various UTEP sites in El Paso — engaging community members and experts in water education. KVIA
- ➤ El Paso was ranked the most polluted major city in 2025 with a PM 2.5 score of 11.4—up from 7.8 in 2024 after severe spring dust storms. Dr. Christi Chester Schroeder advised at-risk residents to use masks and update air purifiers if dust returns. KVIA

- ➤ Dozens of residents attended a meeting at the Veterans Recreation Center in Northeast El Paso on Wednesday to express concerns about a proposed data center policy and a planned Meta project—officials said the meeting is part of City Council efforts to shape guidelines for future development. - ➤ TxDOT is urging all road users to share the road as pedestrian and cyclist crashes have risen this spring, reminding drivers to yield at crosswalks (and cyclists and pedestrians to follow traffic rules). The agency noted a traffic switch scheduled for Friday and overnight closures tonight. KFOX14
- ➤ A new campaign (Elevate the 10) has been launched by the Downtown Deck Plaza Foundation to rally support for a project that will create a vibrant park with green space and improved neighborhood connections downtown. The city recently approved funding toward a design agreement to move the project forward. El Paso Times
- ➤ Senator César J. Blanco announced that the Humane Society of El Paso received a $300,000 grant from the Texas Spay and Neuter Pilot Program, managed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The grant will expand spay and neuter services after over 120 organizations applied. KVIA
- ➤ El Paso officials will host an open house today at the Grant Funded Programs Division to update the city’s Comprehensive Bike Plan. The plan will guide future bike lanes and safety improvements across the city, and residents can also submit feedback online. KFOX14
