  • AAA reports that average gas prices have surpassed $4 per gallon at local stations in El Paso and surrounding West Texas counties. Rising spring break demand and global oil supply issues mean consumers should not expect a drop in prices soon.  El Paso Times

  • A $250,000 grant funded 14 secure food pantry lockers at Texas Tech Health El Paso’s Hunt School of Nursing, letting students retrieve food, formula and diapers from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The system, operating since November 2025, helps students balance studies (and family needs).  El Paso Matters

  • Marathon Petroleum’s air permit renewal for its south-central refinery in El Paso met legal requirements, as confirmed by TCEQ, which said the refinery’s emissions will not harm public health & the environment.
