- ➤ Local musician Russ Kalman regained his smile after reconstructive dental surgery four years after (Stage 4) laryngeal cancer removed most of his teeth. - ➤ New Apex Karate Gym will be built on a vacant lot at 1165 Ranger St in East El Paso—just across the street from Abundant Church. The 4,500 sqft facility, constructed by Jose Marquez of La Antigua Construccion, will offer martial arts training for all ages. El Paso Times

- ➤ El Paso rock band Q.I.D. is featured in the new Apple TV series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, which debuts today. The song Crazy Nights will play for about a minute and a half during a bar scene, giving fans a nostalgic nod to the band’s classic 80s sound. El Paso Times
