- ➤ Patrick Crusius pleaded guilty on April 21 to murdering 23 people during the Walmart shooting in 2019 and was sentenced by Judge Sam Medrano to life in prison without parole—more than 100 family members attended the hearing. El Paso Matters
- ➤ Abraham Alvarado, 20, is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after Leonel Monarrez, 18, was fatally run over during a fight at an East El Paso County truck stop on April 20 at about 2:10 a.m.—Alvarado was booked on a $650,000 bond. KTSM
