  • Longtime El Paso broadcaster Hector Urrutia retired from KINT Channel 26 on May 4 after nearly 40 years in news — he spent 29 years with Entravision and Univision and now plans to travel with his wife, including seeing a solar eclipse in Spain this August.  El Paso Times
  • UTEP officials said long wait times at Sun Bowl for the BTS concert were caused by Android phone scanning glitches and crowding at the north gate, which led to an almost hour-long delay on Saturday.   • UTEP researchers found Valley fever cases tripled in El Paso over the past 10 years when extreme weather, like temperatures over 102°F & wind gusts above 64 mph, stirred up more fungal spores, with peaks in July and August.  KVIA
