- ➤ YMCA of El Paso & Harmony School of Innovation have partnered in Northeast to expand summer camp & youth sports as Bowling Family YMCA closes on May 15. Camps will run June 1-July 31 & sports June 29 through Aug. 22 at 5210 Fairbanks & offer financial help if needed. KFOX14

- ➤ A new fútbol exhibit opens today at the Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso & features archival jerseys and photos that show the sport’s local impact. Tomorrow, the city and El Paso Live launch the free El Fresco Music Series at Convention Center Plaza with a Disco Fever theme as part of Cinco de Mayo festivities. El Paso Matters
- ➤ The Water Lantern Festival arrives at Ascarate Park this weekend from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, inviting families to decorate and launch lanterns, enjoy live music + food from local vendors, and join in a celebration of unity and reflection. KFOX14

- ➤ City leaders and El Paso International Airport officials broke ground Wednesday on the Advanced Manufacturing District at the airport's 250-acre site, aiming to attract small and medium-sized manufacturers and tech companies to boost aerospace and defense jobs. KFOX14
- ➤ Three large data centers are under construction in the El Paso area and will need almost 6.5 gigawatts of power. In Santa Teresa, Project Jupiter switched to fuel cells to lower pollution — a change that may reshape local energy use and job opportunities. El Paso Matters

- ➤ The Bureau of Land Management approved a 16-mile natural gas pipeline after a two-week environmental review to deliver 400 million cubic feet per day from El Paso Natural Gas to Project Jupiter, a proposed data center near Santa Teresa. - ➤ A UTEP study shows Valley fever cases have tripled in El Paso County from 2013 to 2022, with extreme heat, wind and air pollution raising infection risks.
