- ➤ El Paso will see international air service return when regional airline TAR Mexico starts flights to Chihuahua City on three days each week using (50-seat jets) in summer 2026. City officials said the airline will receive incentives (like waived landing fees and marketing funds) to begin service after more than a decade without international flights. El Paso Times

- ➤ Law enforcement in downtown El Paso are investigating a threat aimed at the County Courthouse—K-9 units and local, state, and federal agencies are inspecting the area to secure it. KFOX14
- ➤ Patrick Crusius, convicted of the Walmart mass shooting that killed 23 people, was transferred from county jail to a state prison in Huntsville on May 7 and is now in state custody—removing him from our community. El Paso Times
- ➤ Eric Robles was indicted on Texas state charges of murder and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance tied to a fentanyl-related death — marking the first such case under the new law as his custody was transferred on April 23. KFOX14
- ➤ Federal agents arrested 205 individuals in a nationwide child abuse crackdown that rescued 115 children, and among them was El Paso resident Kevin Dale Franklin Jr.—accused of downloading and distributing child porn after his home was searched on April 25, while he remains jailed without bond and could face a minimum of five years if convicted.
