- ➤ On May 5, El Paso County officials unveiled a new public dashboard that shows real-time updates on the $155 million capital improvement program for parks, a new Office of the Medical Examiner and a County Animal Shelter. The county will sell bonds on June 4 with funds expected by July 1 and will award bids for several projects by summer (official details will be shared soon). KFOX14
- ➤ El Paso County held public meetings about using $54 million in bonds to fund water, sewer, road, stormwater, and youth center projects — though some sessions had as few as one to three attendees. County Commissioner Sergio Coronado said larger turnouts usually come from opponents and the commissioners’ court will vote on the certificates of obligation on May 12 — giving residents a chance to learn more about the projects.
