- ➤ Today after 3:00 p.m., El Paso police responded to a call about a family fight on Paso Villa Street— Salvador Valdiviezo, 35, allegedly shot at two officers and was fatally shot when officers returned fire, injuring one officer who was treated at University Medical Center as neighbors reported hearing stray bullets. - ➤ Sixteen migrants were indicted by a federal grand jury in El Paso for illegally entering the Texas National Defense Area, an area set up in April from El Paso to near Fort Hancock — some of the defendants have been removed previously and face up to 20 years in prison if convicted. KVIA

- ➤ June in El Paso will bring many events as Coldplay performs on June 13-14 at the Sun Bowl and the Cherry Festival runs from June 13 to 15 at Nichols Ranch in La Luz; local celebrations for Pride Month, Anime El Paso, Juneteenth at Nations Tobin Park, the Starr Western Wear Rodeo, the Sun City Craft Beer Festival, and the new Mango Del Sol music festival are also scheduled.
