CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Today in the 384th District Court, Andrew James Williams pleaded guilty to capital murder and multiple charges from a deadly mass shooting at a bar in East El Paso—he received three concurrent life sentences with no right to appeal— and will be eligible for parole after serving 30 years. KVIA
- ➤ The murder trial of Linwood James Smith started in an El Paso court on Monday and continues today as he is accused of killing his estranged wife, Kerica Robinson, 21, and storing her body in an apartment storage unit on Zaragoza Road. KVIA
- ➤ A federal grand jury in El Paso indicted 40-year-old Manuel Alejandro Melendez-Cereceres—known as 'El Monstro'—on three counts related to alleged human smuggling after he was arrested on June 20 for recruiting drivers and coordinating vehicles to transport smuggled aliens from Texas to New Mexico.
