- ➤ A 13-year-old cancer survivor from Arizona became a U.S. Army tank commander for a day at Fort Bliss on July 25 through a Make-A-Wish Foundation event after finishing months of chemotherapy. - ➤ El Paso County and the El Paso United Family Resiliency Center will hold a remembrance ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 3 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Healing Garden at Ascarate Park to honor victims and survivors of the 2019 Walmart massacre.
