- ➤ On July 30, 2025, Hunt School of Dental Medicine honored first-generation students Sujey Lucero and Melanie Mendiola-Martinez at a luncheon hosted by Texas Tech Health El Paso by awarding Lucero the McCabe-Whitehill Dental Scholarship and granting Mendiola-Martinez the first-ever full-ride Dr. H.V. Whitehill III Dental Scholarship—both intended to help them serve El Paso’s community.
