The Light the World Giving Machines have opened in downtown El Paso to let residents donate to local charities by buying items with a card — they launched at 11:00 a.m. on November 22 at San Jacinto Plaza and will run daily from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the El Paso Community Foundation building on N. Oregon Street until December 9. Donations aid groups that fight hunger, help children in grief, and support victims of family violence.
