- ➤ 7Brew Drive-Thru Coffee will open a new drive-thru coffee shop at 6655 Gateway Blvd. West near Airway Boulevard in East El Paso next to Comfort Inn and Suites, Starbucks, and Jimmy John's. The project, valued at $750,000, will build a 510-square-foot prefabricated building and a remote cooler — the work is managed by Michael Serrato of CEI Engineering Associates Inc. for owner SMBN1 Inc. - ➤ Texas Tech Health El Paso held its Season of Thanks luncheon on Nov.10 where 150 scholarship recipients and community leaders gathered as the Alvarez family announced a new $250,000 gift that was matched, creating $500,000 in scholarships for local medical students+boosting their total support to over $1.2 million. - ➤ A former Texas teacher posted a viral TikTok claiming teachers were written up for asking students to read out loud — an allegation that Texas law does not support.
