Good morning, El Paso. Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 28th of November.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Earlier this month, the Hanger Clinic's Amputee Life Support Group held a painting class led by UTEP Art Professor Alix Gaytan that helped local amputees show their creativity by creating an 'Exquisite Corpse'—a surreal art piece where each artist added a part before passing the work along. The event aimed to build peer connections ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.  KFOX14
  • Today, the Salvation Army in El Paso handed out more than 800 turkey dinners to families arriving by car or on foot — a pandemic-inspired method that boosts meal distribution. The organization has long provided these meals and saw strong volunteer turnout under director Joanna Estrada.  KVIA

They advise setting clear boundaries + planning breaks to reduce stress and help those at risk.  KFOX14
