- ➤ El Paso Public Libraries announced free Santa meet-and-greet events this December for families to drop off wish lists, hear stories, enjoy refreshments, and take photos with Santa at several branches. The events will be held on December 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 with times ranging from 11 AM to 4:30 PM — giving many options for holiday celebrations. KVIA

- ➤ November 29th marked Small Business Saturday when vendors at Ardovino's Desert Crossing Farmers' Market supported local business with unique crafts and local delivery. Market vendor Erik Eaton (retired from military and nursing) now plans to run his Desert Illuminations Handcrafted Candles full time within a year and a half. KVIA

- ➤ Starting today, movie lovers can watch holiday classics free at Plaza Theatre in El Paso. Organizers recommend arriving early to get a seat and offer a performance by the theatre's organist 30 minutes before showtime. KVIA
- ➤ In 1995, San Jacinto Plaza marked the dedication of the 'Plaza de los Lagartos' sculpture by artist Luis Jimenez to honor live alligators that lived in a downtown pond from 1889 to 1965. The artwork reflects El Paso's rich history + signals ongoing efforts to bring more public art to the downtown area. El Paso Times

- ➤ UTEP ended its 2-10 season with a 61-31 loss to Delaware—a game marked by six turnovers and a struggling defense. The team will focus on rebuilding as it prepares for national signing day on Dec. 3 and its next contest at Oklahoma on Sept. 5. El Paso Times
- ➤ UTEP Miners women's basketball team stayed unbeaten as they won 69–52 over Denver at the Haskins Center, with Ivane Tensaie scoring 26 points — keeping the team in control throughout the game. They will host Texas A&M Corpus-Christi on Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. El Paso Times
- ➤ El Paso will host the rescheduled 7th Run International US Mexico 10k on January 17th after it was postponed earlier this month due to a government shutdown—runners will start in Downtown, cross the Stanton Street Bridge into Juarez, and finish at the Paso del Norte Port of Entry. KVIA
